We launched in 2015, and sell handcrafted items inspired by science and natural history. All items are made by Mary E. Bates, a freelance science writer based in Rhode Island.
Mary specializes in writing about the brains and behavior of humans and other animals. Her blog, Zoologic, was hosted by the Wired Science blog network from 2013-2015. She has been published in National Geographic’s Weird & Wild blog, Psychology Today, the Scientific American Mind Matters blog, as well as other online and print publications.
Mary earned her PhD from Brown University, where she researched bat echolocation and bullfrog chorusing.
